How much engineering is popular in India ?
Why India produce so much engineers every year ? Why more than 10 lakh students take Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for getting admitted in engineering college ? Is engineering overrated in India ? Why couldn't we popularize other field and scope of education ? Let us try to find answers...
Hi everyone, who is reading this blog .I am Vivek , an engineering student from National Institute of Technology , Silchar , assam, India. Thus being a part of this engineering mechanism , I find myself able to relate all these things. Now , I would open up , why I exactly opted for this engineering course.
When I imagine my younger-self , I wasn't that aware of things, which I can do after completing class 10. most of my classmate started to take tuitions to prepare for one of the toughest exams in india i.e JEE and so I did. I still recall words of my teacher - "Vivek, IITs are the best .your life is going to be set , if you join an IIT ".
There might be so many reasons , taking example of newspaper headlines. IIT PATNA STUDENT GRABS A PACKAGE OF 1.2 CRORE INR IN PLACEMENT . IIT ROURKEE STUDENT GOT AN SPLENDID PLACEMENT IN MICROSOFT FOR 2.6 CRORES .
Who doesn't want money ? It brings (almost) everything to life . Other people join college for fun, to explore themselves and to enjoy the campus life that the colleges (of national importance ) offers to it's students. When I talk about my college life , we have have a great experience here. Beautiful lush green campus added with 20+ lakes , makes it one the finest in India.
Many like to study things, that are complex and not that easy to understand . Thy love to compete in an exam that has highly competitive .some people are motivated by the fact that engineering offer opportunity to open up, to do whatever one wants to do . That reasoning is also not wrong.
So , basically if one is on the right track , the 4 years of engineering , can be life - changing .
